What crisis issues and psychosocial stressors are presented

Problem: Can you explain what crisis issues and psychosocial stressors are presented in this case?

Jimmy's parents consulted a psychiatrist because of their concern that he might be "emotionally disturbed". Their concerns stem from the fact, that over the past year, 10-year-old Jimmy has changed from a "happy go lucky boy, who liked everything" to one who seemed to be constantly "down". The parents noted that they first became concerned last year when Jimmy's third grade teacher noted that he was unable to concentrate at school and questioned his motivation. Shortly afterward, his parents began to note that he was more irritable, seemed to be eating less, and appeared to lose interest in many of the toys and activities that he had always enjoyed. The parents indicated that Jimmy looks sad all of the time, cries often, and prefers to sit around the around as opposed to playing. Jimmy's mother is concerned about Jimmy because she has had a serious problem with depression and did not want her son to go through what she had experienced.
