What crisis intervention strategies and techniques you use

Problem: Read the case study (Bronx Task Force) below. What crisis intervention strategies and techniques would you use with these undercover officers who are about to lose their jobs? What would you do if you were in charge?

CASE STUDY:

In a church basement, officers of an elite undercover narcotics team of the Bronx Task Force slowly arrive and are identified to the undercover team vouching for the credentials and identity of each other. Because of the highly confidential nature of their job and of this meeting and the need for absolute safety and security of all participants, no service records or participant lists are prepared and no notes will be taken during the intense 3-hour meeting. It is agreed that participants may not reveal anything spoken by any participant other than themselves at the end of the meeting. The success of the team is noted as meritorious, and yet it is noted that federal funding for the team comes to an end in 30 days. Officers cannot be reassigned to patrol or investigative teams as those teams are overstaffed at this time.
