For this discussion, think about the importance of choosing the right channel (for example, reports, e-mail, letters, phone calls, text, and face-to-face) for your messages as a leader. Respond to the following:
A. Why is it important to choose the right channel for messages at work?
a. Give an example (from your own experience) of when an appropriate channel was chosen for a message at work. Explain why it was an effective choice.
b. Give an example (from your own experience) of when an inappropriate channel was chosen for a message at work. Explain why it was an ineffective choice.
B. What constraints or pressures exist in our changing workplaces that may simultaneously make it important to match your channel and message, and yet make it difficult to do so?
