Problem
Police get a tip of drug trafficking at Tim's house. They go and knock on the door. Tim's not home but his wife is and she answers the door. She gives consent for the officers to search their house.
Police begin to search the house and find a workbench in the garage. On the workbench, there are several cans of brake fluid, a box of lithium batteries, coffee filters and several mason jars. Police also find in a toolbox on a shelf a bag of powder that later is determined to be ephedrine, weighing approximately 20 grams. They also find in a cooler that contained anhydrous ammonia. Also on the workbench is a purchase permit for a 9mm handgun in Tim's name. Police find Tim's fingerprints on two of the mason jars.
In the house, police find an unlocked gun safe in Tim and his wife's bedroom. In the safe, there are three guns including the 9mm that matches the purchase permit on Tim's workbench. Also in the gun safe is an ounce of crack cocaine, packaged up in 42 individual baggies and $1,000.00 cash.
