Problem 1: Consider parliamentary sovereignty. What are the practical challenges associated with parliamentary sovereignty? What are the risks associated with parliamentary sovereignty? What are the limits on parliamentary sovereignty? Are they sufficient to safeguard our democratic institutions?
Problem 2: Think about the use of privative clauses. To what degree should legislators be able to immunize administrative decisions from review? How does the use of privative clauses, and courts' interference in administrative decision-making despite the existence of privative clauses, reflect on our democratic principles?
Problem 3: How would you explain the principle of the rule of law to a family member, friend or colleague?
