Problem: Astin was a twelve-year-old boy who was caught by the police trying to grab money from the cash register at a McDonald's restaurant. Astin's wealthy family was able to hire an expensive lawyer to defend him in juvenile court. In the judicial inquiry, Astin's lawyer maintained that eating a diet of McDonald's hamburgers, without fruits, vegetables, and other sources of nutrients, had adversely influenced Astin's behaviour and had left him incapable of moral reasoning. Astin was unable to tell right from wrong, which caused him to try to steal the money.
