Problem
You are the nurse manager on an orthopedic unit in your hospital. There has been an increase in the acuity of patients with additional patients being assigned to nursing staff. Many of nursing staff have come to you to express their frustrations with the patient ratios and even some have resigned as they feel they can not deliver the best care to their patients.
