A shift takes place in middle childhood in the way we start to think about ourselves. How might a 9 year old child answer the question, "tell me about yourself; who are you?" differently than when they were only 4 or 5 years old? Be specific.
Then, explain what aspects of middle childhood lead to this change. Again, be specific. What changes in middle childhood have taken place that might cause a child to think about themselves differently?
