Give your opinion of the paragraph below. What steps will you take to build or expand your network? I am not in the market just as of yet to start networking in what I want to do. I have 10 years left in the military. When i get to 3 years left, i will hopefully have my Masters in Business Administration and i will be attending seminars. The military also has a really cool program called "Skill Bridge". This is where in the last six months of your career, you can apply to start working for a business and still get paid by the military. This is of course an internship, but it helps you network and learn more about the career that you are pursuing after the military.
1. What are your short-term and long-term goals for networking? Be sure to make these SMART goals. My short term goal is getting my bachelors in Business Administration. Long term after that would be getting my Masters and doing the skill bridge program with Universal resorts or Disney resorts since my goal is to end up in hospitality management.
2. What are your short-term and long-term goals for networking? Be sure to make these SMART goals. Nodal Networks are probably to my advantage. I am very street smart on what i need to do to help set up my future. My take is, contact from the top and work your way down. I reached out to the General manager of Disney resorts for my upcoming assignment but i haven't heard anything yet. At this point i need to reach out to someone less "important" just because of the time constraint! Think big!! Thanks for reading! -Ryan
