Problem
Multisolar Company, Inc., a US-based organization, contracted with Enfinity Imperial Solutions in the Philippines and Lotus Solar Energy in Nepal. These two solar energy producers in the Philippines and Nepal are the leading solar energy producers, but all they have are solar farms, and they have not been able to produce solar panel systems like what Multisolar has. That is why Multisolar saw an opportunity to tie up with these two companies because a lot of households in these two countries are not reached by their service because the line of distribution is limited, but if there is a solar panel system already installed in the home, there is no need to have a line of electricity because the solar panel systems will be installed only on the roof of the house. Mutisolar's agreement with Enfinity Imperial Solutions and Lotus Solar Energy is identical. Multisolar Energy will manufacture and supply the solar panel systems, but the personnel of the two companies will do the installation. Considering that the price of the solar panel system is high, especially if it is converted to the currency in the Philippines and Nepal it will cost a lot to the consumer, so, Multisolar offers funding to reduce the upfront cost of installing a qualified home solar electric system. The amount of funding, or incentive, depends on the size of the solar electric system installed and the customer's electric utility. The incentive is applied as a discount on the invoice at the time of purchase and reduces the amount the customer pays the contractor. Once the project is completed, Multisolar verifies proper installation and reimburses the contractor for the discount. Incentives provided by Mutisolar can be paired with other available incentives, significantly reducing the cost to install a solar electric system.
Multisolar will advertise the solar electric program through various media, such as radio ads, e-mail, printed materials, and more. As part of the program, Multisolar will collaborate with the specified foreign solar energy provider, which has contracted with Multisolar to provide outreach and education on solar and its applications and to conduct solar workshops that help interested homeowners understand the basics of solar and provide information about available incentives and additional resources. Multisolar also maintains a database of program-qualified solar trade allies that interested homeowners can contact to learn more about opportunities for installing solar at their homes and obtain site assessments and cost estimates.
