What are the restrictions of the matrix organisation?
Restrictions of matrix organization:
a. Matrix organization violates the principle of unity of command as a person works under two bosses for example, project manager and functional boss. It may give rise to conflicts into the organisation.
b. Organisation relations are more complicated and they create problems of coordination.
c. As persons are drawn temporarily from various departments, project manager doesn’t have line authority over them.
d. Project group is heterogeneous because of that morale of the personnel may be low.
