Singapore airlines operates an Airbus 350-900 from Singapore to London Heathrow with 42 seats in business class, 24 seats in premium economy class and 187 seats in economy class. On the flight in 5 days' time, 10 seats in business class have been sold, 30 seats in the Premium economy and 187 seats in economy class.

i. Assess this situation from a revenue management perspective. What are the problems on this flight? Recommend what the revue manager for this flight should have done to address this problem?

ii. "Last minute deals are a great opportunity for airlines to fill empty seats shortly before a flight's departure". Critique this statement.
