Assignment task: What are the options for desktop computer form factors?
This is the example answer of my classmate:
1. The form factor of most desktop PCs is defined by size in comparison to a traditional tower, so you'll hear terms like microtower, slim, and mini. Other terms, such as "small form factor," emphasize a focus on a small footprint rather than compact construction. But what are the desktop computer form factors available? The following are the three most common motherboard form factors:
Advanced Technology eXtended (ATX) - This is the most common motherboard form factor.
Micro-ATX - This is a smaller form factor that is designed to be backward-compatible with ATX.
ITX - The ITX form factor has gained in popularity because of its very small size.
