Your selected city should publish annual budget book. Search for the book. If your city doesn't publish a budget book, search for another city that does. Using the most current budget book, answer the following questions. Attach to your submitted assignment copies of the pages from which you get the information you used to answer the questions.
1. Examine the charts and data provided for revenue sources and functional expenses. Then answer the following questions.
a. What are the primary revenue sources?
b. What are the major expenditures categories?
2. The city must have compared two or more years' budget. Compare each category (line item) of budget and show the increase or decrease year over year.
3. Identify the type of budget presentation/approach the city used. Is it by line item, program, performance, entrepreneurial, or combination? Be sure to explain how you know it is a particular approach.
4. On what basis of accounting was the budget adopted?
5. What is your overall conclusion on the city's budget book?
