1. What are the major differences between Bipolar I, Bipolar II and Cyclothymia? In other words, if you had a client sitting infront of you with one of these disorders, how would you tell which one? What would you look for?
2. Many people are critical of the diagnosis of Pesonality Disorder. They believe that this class of diagnosis is used to pathologize (make them appear sick or disordered) a group of people who are just unconventional, eccentric, or odd. These critics point out that in a free society, people can choose any lifestyle they like as long as it doesnt hurt themselves, others or the social order. What do you think?
3. Wating disorders are notoriously difficult to treat. Why do you think this is? If you were responsible for making treatment decisions for a person with an eating disorder, which type of treatment would you choose? Inpatiient? Outpatient? IOP? Research eating disorder treatments on the internet to best inform your opinion.
