Educators are often asked by parents, "Do the kids learn anything here, or do they just play all day?" These kinds of comments can be off-putting, and they are a clear sign that parents need information about how children learn, as well as all the benefits that come from play.

Scenario: You have scheduled an in-person meeting with Taylor's mom, who has voiced her concerns that Taylor is just playing all day and not learning anything. Prepare notes so you can help Taylor's mom understand the skills gained and the benefits of play.
