Purpose
Conduct a literature review on nursing accreditation for both individuals (nursing certifications) and nursing organizations (Pathway to Excellence, Magnet, Beacon, etc.). Compose a paper on nursing accreditation include the role of professional nursing organizations.
Task
A. Conduct a literature review on individual nursing accreditation, an example of individual accreditation would be MSNCB (Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board) CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse). For the literature review you will need to:
a. Include the databases you use in your paper
b. Include your search terms (i.e. nurse certification) in your paper
c. Analyze information from at least five sources (ideally sources are less than 5 years old)
d. Information in a literature review should include:
i. What is currently known about the topic
ii. What are the controversial issues related to the topic
iii. What are the gaps in knowledge related to the topic
iv. What are the nursing implications for what is known about the topic
B. Write paper applying apa formatting guidelines (use these headers for the body of your paper):
