Problem
Your problem is to research on the issue of global hunger and how Genetically Modified Foods may play a role in solving this crisis.
Guidelines and Directions:
Research on this topic can begin with general texts, but must include at least three scholarly sources. Scholarly sources are those whose author or source is identifiable, reliable and or recognized as an expert (personal blogs/podcasts, Wikipedia, or advertisements are not considered scholarly). Textbooks, academic peer-reviewed journals, or websites sponsored by scientific organizations are considered scholarly sources and are good sources of reliable information. Use the most recent information about your topic as our knowledge about this topic can improve dramatically and quickly.
Your paper should adequately introduce the topic of the global hunger and possible solutions to this crisis.
1. Set the stage and provide background for your topic. Address why we might be interested in this topic and define the problem.
2. Explain the topic; You need to explain the current global hunger crisis and how it will change into the future- is this problem getting better or worse with the passage of time? What are possible solutions to this problem? A discussion on GMOs and how they fit into this topic is required, but what other solutions are there? Provide three total, realistic solutions (GMOs plus two more) to this problem.
For each of your three solutions, you need to answer the following questions:
1. Issues: What are the ethical, logistical, and/or cultural issues each of them face? In other words, what problems might arise if the solution is used/ how feasible are these solutions?
2. Impact: Are there shortcomings to these solutions? What will be the impacts of each of your proposed solutions on different people, the environment, etc.?
3. POV: How does your own background influence what solution you think is best? What might be others' points of view (POV) on your proposed solutions (will some people not like that solution for some reason?)
