Problem: Policy Makers
Be aware of the flow of writing information- you want to be sure the information is presented in a logical format and when changing topics, use a transition sentence to connect the two topics. Sentence structure is very important as well. Policymakers are divided on whether or not a "public option" should be included in the overall reform plan. Proponents argue that insurance companies do not really compete with each other, and a government-run plan is the only way to ensure competitive markets. Please answer these questions in the paper.
o What are proponents of the public option hoping that competition will accomplish?
o What are the essential factors that must exist for a new rival to increase competition in any market? Do these factors exist in this case?
o Name several examples of markets where the government competes directly with private firms.
o Do you think a government option will increase competition in the insurance market?
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
