Homework: Critical Thinking
Length: 2000 to 2250 words.
Part 1
a) What is the difference between Physical Causal Explanations and Behavioral Casual Explanations, and how do they tie into critical thinking?
b) Name the types of explanations and how they are evaluated. Use examples from your life to support your answer.
c) What is an Inference to the Best Explanation and how does it relate to forming a hypothesis?
d) What are the definitions of aesthetic value and judgment? Use examples from your life to support your definition.
Part 2
Write an essay addressing each of the following points/questions. Separate your paper into sections outlined below. Each section in your paper needs a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper.
a) Your homework is to pull together all the information within the modules 1 to 8 to complete the submission of your topic of choice from module 1. This homework must be thorough and completely cover the aspects outlined in module 1.
When finalizing your final homework:
b) Introduce the topic you chose with its definition/background,
c) Explain your opinion, for or against the topic, when you started your research and analysis,
d) Discuss 2-3 reasons "from scholars" in favor and against the topic
e) In summary format, review your findings and provide an answer if you are for or against the issue (your opinion) and why, based on the facts your scholarly research.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
