Select Four of the Following Questions to Answer (include the question in your submission)
(1) What are the critical reasons development efforts fail so often and what would you focus on to minimize failure?
(2) A case could be made that modern security deals with the conflict between information sharing and information protection. Do you agree or disagree? What are your opinions about balancing between the two? If you were forced to lean towards one way or the other, which way would you lean?
(3) Looking at the organization you work for, what would be the top two or three 'things' that you would want to measure to tell you whether the organization is performing well? How would you generate the metrics that you would use as a basis of those measurements? How would you decide what are the targets you want the organization to meet, e.g. how high (or how low)?
(4) What are the barriers to using IT to enable increased collaboration in an organization? If you were responsible for IT, what would you focus on to increase collaboration activities? How would you measure your level of success in doing so?
(5) Four 'hot issues' are listed in Chapter 15: Navigating Information Overload, Green Computing, Virtualization and Parallelization, and IT Talents and Globalization. Pick one and discuss how important you think it actually will be in the next 2-4 years and provide thoughts on the likely impact that developments in that issue will be.
