For this Discussion, you will take on the role of a clinician who is building a health history for one of the following cases. You will be building a health history for 2 different patients. The rationale behind it's for you to get familiar interviewing and examining patients from different backgrounds, ethnicity and age groups.
Case study:
1. 55-year-old Asian female living in a high-density poverty housing complex.
2. Pre-school aged white female living in a rural community.
Answer the following questions:
Question 1: What are the barriers to interpersonal communication?
Question 2: What are the procedures and examination techniques that will be used during the physical exam of your patient?
Question 3: Describe the Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Planning (S.O.A.P.) approach for documenting patient data and explain what they are.
