Assignment
You will choose a ‘how-to' or ‘do-it-yourself' (DIY) blog post from the internet and analyze it by answering the following questions about the post's audience, purpose and tone. It can be about any topic of your choice, such as: food, recipes, makeup tutorials, how to build something, how to decorate your room, how to edit photos, etc.

Questions: Audience, Purpose and Tone
1. Who is the author's audience? (What kind of people is the author writing to?) What are some words or phrases in the text that give you a hint about the author's audience?
2. What is the author's purpose? (Why is the author writing to their audience, in other words, what is the main point?)
3. What is the author's tone? (Formal? Informal? Joking? Serious? etc.) What words or phrases in the text shape your idea of the author's tone?
4. Do you think the author of your blog post did a good job of explaining the process? Why or why not? Do you think you can complete the process successfully after reading the post?
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
