Client Satisfaction- as a future FNP, I want to ensure that patients are not only receiving quality care, but that they are satisfied with the care they are receiving.
Team-based PI process
Identify improvement opportunity- Information can be obtained by patient satisfaction surveys after visits or by asking patients how their care/office experience can be improved.
Research and define performance expectations- Set a standard for how visits/the office should run.
Design and redesign process/education- Brainstorm with staff new pathways.
Implement process/education- Trial and error with new pathways to ensure patient satisfaction.
Document and communicate findings- Evaluate effects of change and fix as needed.
The staff in the office is able to work hands on with the patients. By using this approach, staff will be able to receive real time feedback and suggestions for success.
I would ask for suggestions and feedback from other team members and use a team-based approach to tailor specific care. By "implementing a focus on enhancing effective communication in which will, in turn, improve patient safety and experience" (Burgener, 2020).
