Journal Problem
Write 3 pages review of a scholarly article. The purpose of this assignment is to help students clarify their understanding of the readings and think critically about a specific social welfare issue. Students will choose a social welfare topic and search for a scholarly article on that topic. Articles must be written in the last 10 years. For the reaction paper, students will write a brief overview of each article and then share his or her reaction to the article by responding to at least 3 of the following questions:
1) What are some strengths and weaknesses of the article?
2) Did the author overlook or leave out anything important?
3) Is the author one-sided (even if he/she takes your side) or does the author present a balanced view?
4) What did you learn as a result of reading this article?
5) What questions does the article raise for you?
6) How could you apply your learning in your future career?
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
