Problem
In his brief TED talk, the famous social psychologist Dr. Philip Zimbardo talks about a number of social forces that ultimately result in negative outcomes to boys and men in a variety of ways. As he says in the talk, he's here to "alarm" us about the problem - It's our "job to solve" it. Obviously, Dr. Zimbardo is taking a stand for socialization practices being a major factor in shaping "masculine" behavior. Based on what you've heard and read, what are some recommendations you can provide for changing the social environment of adolescent boys so that outcomes are more positive? Or, conversely, if we did this, are we going against what is "natural" (e.g., biological) in some way?
