1. Think of your parents or others that have fulfilled a parental or caretaking role to you in your life, what things come to mind?
1. If you are a parent or plan to parent, do you plan to parent similar to how you were raised? Explain why or why not.
2. Maybe you do not plan to be a parent, discuss your thinking and reasoning. It is ok for individuals to not want to have children.
2. A number of television shows and movies show depict parents. Find television show or movie. Please provide the clip after watching it. Then discussion the following questions:
1. What do you see in terms of parenting? Relationships with spouse or partner? Children? Discuss in detail.
2. What are some of the strengths of the parent(s) do you see in regards to the parent(s) or their relationship with their partner? Children? Family? Work? Social Life?
3. What challenges do you notice in regards to the parent(s) or their relationship with their partner? Children? Family? Work? Social Life?
4. What advice or suggestions would you give to the parents or children in the clip you examined?
