A. What are the key factors that a health education specialist needs to become a multi-culturally competent professional? Why are they important?
B. Health disparities exist in a variety of contexts. From a health education standpoint, what are some key elements underlying racial, ethnic, sexual, linguistic disparities and other disparities?
C. What interventions can be used to reduce such inequities (be specific per issue) and explain why you think so.
D. The very poor and economically disadvantaged are often facing risk factors that do not promote positive health behavior. What do health educators need to consider when determining interventions that can aid in promoting wellness and preventing disease in these vulnerable populations.
