Case Scenario: The New Truck Kevin was an auto mechanic at Cabot Chevrolet. He had worked at this small-town auto dealership for about five years, loved his job, and always had excellent performance ratings. Charles Cabot, who owned the dealership, was off on a multi-week vacation when Kevin's car broke down. Kevin decided to buy the truck of his dreams: a new Chevy Silverado. He found one on sale at a really good price in a larger nearby town. Then. he spoke to the Sales Manager at his own dealership about whether he could match that low price. The Sales Manager said he didn't have authority to match that low a price- Kevin would have to wait until Charles Cabot got home and ask him. The Sales Manager also reminded Kevin that Charles really wanted his employees to buy or lease from him. Unfortunately, Kevin found out the sale price was just not going to last - if he wanted the truck at that price, he'd have to get it now. He bought the truck from the other dealership.
