The case study project is the human resource management (HRM) problems that led to the retrenchment of employees in the year 2008 at Jet Airways, an Indian commercial airline. Following a major crisis in the Indian aviation industry in the years 2007 to 2008, Jet Airways resorted to sacking a huge number of its workforce in a bid to remain competitive.
