Problem:
Using the CIA Tradecraft Primer or any other source of our choosing, select three analytic techniques (at least two must be structured analytic techniques, SATs) that WE will use in our intelligence assessment. In a Word document, list the three techniques WE have chosen and explain, in no more than two pages, why WE chose each technique and what kind(s) information or analytic judgment WE think the technique will offer in our assessment.
At this point, WE DO NOT need to worry about the appropriateness of the selected techniques to either our research topic or data. In our intelligence analysis, success or failure in drawing defensible results are not as relevant to learning outcomes as learning and assessing why each technique WE used either allowed or hampered defensible conclusions.
