What active listening skills could be utilized in situation

Problem

Imagine that you are meeting with a client who says the following: "My boss is such a jerk! He's out to get me. He yelled at me for 15 minutes today, and I didn't even do anything wrong. Everybody else is allowed to come in to work late, but when I do it, he totally freaks out. It's not fair. I'm never going back there."

What active listening skills could be utilized in this situation, and how exactly would you use those skills with this client? What is an example of how you might paraphrase in this situation? What you would do in this situation if you found yourself judging the client for their reaction or wanting to offer them advice based on a time you faced a similar circumstance? List questions you might ask this client. Try to include at least one closed-ended, one open-ended, and one clarifying question. Explain why you would ask these questions and how they would be helpful in your work with the client.
