Problem
User-interfaces include a wide range of features: from on/off switches on our devices, to drop-down menus, hyperlinks, and tabs on web browsers, to the alpha-numeric panels on microwave ovens. Moreover, whenever we use a piece of software we often do so via user-interfaces. Consider the insights of Gibson, Norman, and Garrett and what each has to say about affordances, design, interfaces, and human experiences. Then, give your own example of a software's user-interface that has caused you some difficulty in the last month. What about the interface caused the difficulty? Can you offer solutions that would reduce or remove the difficulty?
