Problem:
Visit an arts museum, either in person or through on-line museum portals. Choose a particular work of art (painting, sculpture, performance, installation or other) and write a reaction paper. Provide as much background on the work as the museum provides (and cite your sources) but this is not to be a research paper. Discuss what about this particular exhibit or piece of art appealed to you. How did the artist use color, texture, shape or subject to create an emotional or intellectual response in you? What was that response? Note that the museum needs to be an ARTS museum (not science, natural history, or sports). If you are local and want to actually visit one - Carnegie Arts, Andy Warhol, The Frick, the Mattress Factory (yes - there is an arts museum with that name), or even Randyland!
