Given the focus this week on culture can we possibly define what cultural awareness is? Is it enough to merely know of the stereotypical habits of another culture as in the Iceberg model? What about deep historical issues which are often grounded in religion? For example, the reformation of the Catholic Church in the 16th Century led to Protestantism which arguably led to individualistic values being inculcated in US culture.
