Gilroy Garlic Inc. prepackages three bulbs of garlic and ships them to stores for resale. Gilroy hopes that the garlic weighs about 6 grams, but there is no listed weight, so it is not essential that the weight be 6 grams. Recently some stores have been complaining of large disparities in the weight of the garlic packages, so Gilroy decides to investigate and every 30 minutes takes a random sample of 12 packages of garlic and weighs them. In total, 15 samples of 12 packages were taken over the course of the day.
