We enter and retrieve information from databases in every aspect of our lives. At work, databases hold our personnel information, building access information and email records to name a few. In our personal lives, databases hold our county property tax information, ATM information and preferred customer shopper information (Giant, Safeway, CVS cards, for example).
Respond to the following questions:
1. What is a database?
2. Name and describe the seven types of database systems used in organizations.
3. Chose and describe (in 2 or 3 sentences) one database with which you are familiar.
4. Of the seven database systems you described in item 2 above, explain which type of database you chose.
