Ways that landowners can engage with other parties

Question: During the section on Landlord-Tenant Laws we discussed a variety of ways that landowners can engage with other parties to grow crops on their land. Please discuss the pros and cons of each of the different types of partnership agreements that can be created between a landowner and the party that will execute the farming of their land. If you were a landowner, which would you consider the best option? Why? What would be important to you as a landowner when making this type of agreement? Types of agreements to consider: crop-share lease agreements, share-crop/cropper relationships, partnership. Things you should include in your discussion post: liability for injuries, taxes, amount of work required, payment agreements, risks of each.
