Discuss the ways in which the agents of political socialization have influenced change in the political culture of Jamaica and America.

Democracy, Communism, Autocracy are systems of government that are utilized in different countries in the world. Explain each and discuss why democracy is the preferred system of governance

Case:

Michael Manley nationalized some resorts, banks, and some bauxite companies, and limited imports. He forged close ties with Fidel Castro of Cuba and sent hundreds of young Jamaicans to study there, including his son. These measures strained relations with the United States. His relations with the International Monetary Fund, the island's largest creditor, were so poor that he broke off negotiations for a major loan in 1980, creating fiscal havoc. Store shelves were bare and utilities sporadic in his last years in office, and word around Kingston spread that IMF stood for It's Manley's Fault. In a statement that would come back to haunt him, Manley once snapped that Jamaicans who did not like his policies could take any one of five daily flights to Miami. Thousands of professionals took him at his word, draining Jamaica of much-needed skills. Manley also fought to improve living conditions, creating a minimum wage, making university education free for the poor, and establishing government-sponsored maternity benefits. (United Press International, 1989).
