Problem: Consider the meaning of "reform" and which group (enslaved Blacks or free Blacks) participated in "reforms". Think about what we mean by "resistance" (consider the information from the earlier chapters) and what types of resistance were used by enslaved people. Was "reform" more of an option for free Blacks or free Black communities? If so, why? Can you think of examples of free and enslaved Blacks joining together in acts of resistance? Who are the Black "leaders" of the 18th (17005) and early 19th (18005) and how were they involved with the Black "masses"?
