Vegetative Development - Development
The process of growth and differentiation of cells into organs and organisms is often termed development. For example, the development of a higher plant starts from the formation of seed and then its germination results in the formation of root and shoot. With further growth more branches and leaves are produced till a certain time when vegetative buds get converted to flowering buds. After the formation of flowers, fertilisation takes place resulting in the development of fruits and seeds.
