Using the same style found in Early Roman imperial love literature write ten lines of poetry where you extol the qualities of the one you love (in the present or in the past). Again, be sure to do so using the same style as, or as close to as possible to, Early Roman imperial love literature. Once you have done so add your reflection on the differences between today's literary style on that which you attempted to duplicate. Was this an easy exercise for you? Why yes or why not?
