Question: Using the methodology for determining the value of the HDI shown in the UNDP Human Development Report and summarized in Appendix 2B, calculate the value of the HDI for a country that interests you and that is not listed in Table. Does that country's level of GDP per capita provide a reasonable proxy for the country's level of development as measured by the HDI? Are there other countries with a similar level of income to that of the country you have selected that have substantially different HDI values? How might you account for those differences?
