Executive Summary: Locating Expert Information About Business Plans
To supplement your knowledge of business plans and draw on various sources, search electronic databases to find recent articles about business plans and business models. This activity can be completed in teams, with each member contributing valuable tips and insights about business plans from an article or two.
Your Task. Using ProQuest, Factiva, EBSCO, or some other business database, search for the keywords business plan, and if you want more sources, for business model. You may also try searching BusinessWeek Online and similar business publications on the Internet. Select an article that is at least 1,200 words long and discusses business plans fully. Write an executive summary in memo format, or write an e-mail, if requested by your instructor. Identify the author, article title, periodical, and date of publication. Summarize the most important findings of the article. Use "talking" rather than functional headings if helpful.
