Company X is a chain of outdoor sportswear shops spread over 3 states in the USA. In addition to the traditional bricks and mortar sites, the company also sells online and via a catalogue. To sharpen their business, they wish to introduce a number of measures to centralise their customer data gathering processes. In order to achieve this, they are looking at a new point of sale system that will immediately feed information into a database, capturing data from shop as well as online and catalogue transactions.
In order to achieve their aims, a new computer system will need to be installed as well as new tills at all sites and new software to capture information from online and catalogue transactions.
