Assignment Project Description:
Instructions: You are required to establish your own E-Commerce business and identify a business that is suitable for the e-commerce online business. Your group must develop a proposal of E-Commerce business. The following factors must be well thought out, such as what you will be selling? Products, Services, or Both? Is it Business to Business (B2B), Business to Consumer (B2C), or both? Where you will be located and why? Please go through the Rubric provided below with clear instructions on both the oral presentation and report requirements.
E-commerce Website: In this project, you are going to use Wix website to create your E-commerce website.
The following are essential and basic features (individually, not on same page) MUST be include in your EC website:
- Company home page
- Product or service information page
- Product or service order form page*
- FAQ (frequently asked question) page using the FAQ template
- Contact page (e.g., company address, email, phone number....)
- You must evaluate your ecommerce business site against other ecommerce sites.
For the order page you have 2 options:
Option 1: Upgrade the account to a premium plan to be able to create a functional order page.
Option 2: Create a nonfunctional page describing/illustrating the ordering process that the customer has to go through when purchasing an order.
You can follow similar options for other features that are not free in wix.com
Note - This project must be double-spaced; use page numbers. Your group report must consist of minimum 3000 Words and no more than 3100 Words.
a. Executive Summary
Each key section briefly summarized. Specifically answers:
- What business are you in? Who is on the team?
- Where will you locate and why? What is your product/service? How much capital will be needed?
- Why we should invest in your company?
b. Business Description
Includes:
- Complete and accurate overview of industry Mission statement
- Explanation for the business type, legal structure, name, and location chosen.
- Description of the product/service, why it is needed and what makes it unique.
- Describe the company's position and pricing strategy.
c. Market Analysis
Includes:
- Customer profile - who are they, where are they, what do they need, where do they currently buy?
- Research market demographics.
- Marketing Plan
d. Competitor Analysis
- Identify your competitor
- Website Critiques
- Analysis
- Define your competitive position
e. Resources
- Who are the people/managers?
- What is their area of responsibility? Who are the owners?
- Time involved
- Identify Software needed for this project. Identify Hardware needed for this project.
