Problem: I would ensure that the phone is with a tracking feature (Such as Tile, Apple AirTag,etc.) and have a secure lockscreen. Using a Password would be most secure to use as a Security authentication at your lockscreen but it can be argued that fingerprint bio metrics are the most secure. While new, it is secure to use a fingerprint but not all devices have this feature and does have flaws and issues of its own. I would also ensure that they use tough long secure passwords to all her accounts and enable two-factor authentication(Sending a text or otherwise verifying from your device if the log in is you or someone unauthorized). Ensure that also she only connects to secure internet networks with WPA2 or other data encryption. Also, use a VPN to toss the connection around from non-local random servers from all sorts of different countries and servers to make your data harder to gain access to.
