Design Exploration - This exercise relates to Assessment - PROCESS DIARY
Your task:
Collect, document and arrange pieces of found paper for visual appeal. Work with at least 15 different pieces. Take at least 15 interesting photographs and make at least 4 sketches of the combinations you devise.
Instructions:
Use the ‘Object Documentation Log' supplied, to list your found paper. Collect paper based on uniqueness. This might include newspaper, receipts, tickets, wrapping paper, wrappers, cards, serviettes etc. Assemble paper on a sheet of board. Photograph and draw your favourite combinations, at least 3 different arrangements.
Attach copies in your Process Diary. You will also need to write a 300 word reflection, outlining your findings.
Additional notes:
One of the easiest things to find in the world is discarded paper. While one lone item may not seem terribly interesting, when you start to assemble a collection, it can be intensely satisfying to look and arrange into different configurations.
Found paper or cardboard provides endless possibilities for creative production. Always have some on hand for spontaneous projects.
