Union Avoidance
Labor unions provide valuable protection and representation for workers in many industries. The management in almost all companies would prefer not to have unions to deal with. Unions complicate management's relationship with their workers and add regulations and procedures that must be followed. In many cases, management also often believes that unions drive up wages and make it difficult or impossible to make a profit.
