Understanding the genetic as well as epigenetic changes of cancer.
For all of the following define one genetic and one epigenetic change that could lead to cancer. Choose a specific gene as well as a specific alteration. Define the effects of the change and why it might contribute to cancer. Each genetic or epigenetic change must be different (example you may use each kind of change only once.)
1) a and b changes to a gene encoding a protein involved in apoptosis
2) c and d changes to a gene encoding a DNA damage repair protein
3) e and f changes to a gene encoding involved in cell cycle regulation
